Postdoc Position in Computational Materials: Trinity College Dublin School of Chemistry is inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the Computational Catalysis and Energy Materials (CCEM) group, led by Prof. Max García-Melchor. This position, funded by Horizon Europe, is part of the ICONIC consortium, focusing on developing technology for remediating water ecosystems impacted by agriculture and CO2 emissions through electrolysis. The successful candidate will contribute to the discovery of cost-effective electrocatalysts for the conversion of nitrates and carbonates into urea and other C-N products.Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher (R1, R2)Research Area:Chemical EngineeringLocation: Dublin, IrelandEligibility/Qualification: The ideal candidate should hold a PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Computational Chemistry, Nanoscience, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline . A demonstrated background in modeling (electro)catalytic processes with periodic DFT is required. Good programming skills and excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential.
