Postdoctoral Researcher position in the ARIES project at Tyndall National Institute. The project aims to develop AI-driven smart RF surface controllers for future 6G networks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop machine learning algorithms for RF smart surface control.
2. Create EM simulation models of the RF surface.
3. Integrate the developed smart surface controller with a 5G network simulator.
4. Collaborate with the team on software, hardware, and testing development.
5. Assist in administrative tasks and ensure project deliverables are met.
Essential Criteria:
1. PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related area.
2. Experience in developing machine learning algorithms.
3. Experience in EM simulation, and design of RF antenna and devices.
4. Strong publication record.
5. Strong communication and relationship management skills.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Entrepreneurial experience.
2. Creative skills/creativity.
3. Research experience in AI and electromagnetics.
4. Skilled in mathematical modelling tools such as MATLAB, Python, and/or Julia.
5. Ability to work independently and initiate discussions with team members and stakeholders.

Appointment may be made on the Postdoctoral Researcher scale € 44,347 - € 50,805 per annum or Senior Postdoctoral Researcher Scale € 52,193 - € 56,765 per annum based on qualification and experience.
