Practice Accountant/Audit Senior (Cork) Our client is a leading name in the global accounting sector. With their Irish offices located in Cork and Dublin, they provide a range of financial, tax, business management and advisory services to their client base. They operate across a varied number of industries representing a wide range of different businesses. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and Audit / Practice / Accounting professional to join their team of accountants and tax professionals. This is a key role for the firm, and it could well suit an audit / assurance professional in and around the recently qualified level looking to progress their career in taking on a leadership role. Key Responsibilities: Management of up to 100 companies ranging from small to large audit engagements. Management of the client relationships and the audit engagements. Performing quality review on all audit files and financial statements. Lead the planning, resourcing, and performance of all engagements. Ensure completion of engagements within time-frames and budget. Management of assignments to ensure compliance with all statutory filing. Managing deadlines for CRO and Revenue Commissioners. Mentoring and guidance of trainee and junior staff. Review of files and monitoring of staff performance. Liaising and developing relationships with clients. Advising clients on technical accounting issues. Working with the tax team on advisory and planning services. Criteria: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA). 3 to 4 years experience working in practice, managing audits, as part of your role. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Strong technical knowledge of Audit compliance Strong IT skill set, including experience with audit and accounting software applications.
