Post 1103 Practice Development Coordinator Nursing Department Full Time 37.5 hours per week Permanent National Blood Centre, Jamess Street, Dublin 8 The IBTS is currently recruiting a full-time, permanent, Practice Development Coordinator based in the Nursing Department, National Blood Centre. The Practice Development Coordinator will provide strategic leadership to the Practice Development team in the IBTS. In collaboration with the Donor Consultant, this team are responsible for developing clinical practice within the service, based on best international practice and within the IBTS Quality Management System. The Practice Development Coordinator will join the IBTS senior nurse management team and will support the IBTS strategic priorities with regard to achieving operational excellence, improving customer (donor) experience and supporting better healthcare, ensuring compliance with current legislative requirements. The role of the Practice Development Coordinator is to ensure the highest standard of donor-focused care through leading and managing practice development projects. The Practice Development Coordinator is expected to practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Code of Practice and Scope of Practice and within the IBTS Quality System and Code of Conduct at all times. Essential Criteria: To be registered with NMBI in the General Division. To have name maintained on the live register of NMBI Hold a relevant third level degree. To have at least seven years post registration experience, three of which must be at minimum CNM II grade within the last three years. Proven experience of managing & delivering change in a complex environment. Can demonstrate critical analysis and effective clinical decision-making skills. Evidence of recent continuous professional development (CPD) Is self-motivating and resilient and can demonstrates clinical credibility and strong leadership skills. Proven IT skills and experience including experience working with Microsoft suite. To have knowledge and experience of working within a Quality Management System Excellent verbal and written communication skills, research, report writing & presentation skills. Full Driving Licence & access to own vehicle Experience A minimum of seven years post-registration experience, three of which must be at CNM II grade, or higher, within the last three years. Desirable Criteria: To hold a post graduate qualification at not less than level 9 (QQI) in health care or management related area or a commitment to attain such a qualification. The salary scale attached to the post is the Assistant Director of Nursing scale €65,175 to €78,043 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum.
