Job Description

Tigera provides secure networking and comprehensive protection for containers and Kubernetes.
Tigera's Calico Cloud is the industry's only container security platform with built-in network security to prevent, detect, and mitigate security breaches.
Calico Enterprise provides high-availability networking and simplified network security for cloud-native applications.
Tigera is the creator and maintainer of Calico Open Source, the most widely adopted container networking and security solution.
The company's software powers more than 100 M containers across 2 M+ nodes in 166 countries, and is supported across all major cloud providers and Kubernetes distributions.
As our team grows, we are looking for colleagues who not only share our passion for this work and growing our company, but who will also strengthen our company values and help ensure that Tigera remains a great place to work.
At our core, our focus is on our customers, who are the heroes of our story; on aiming high and staying nimble in how we get there; on continuous learning to drive our success; and on respecting, collaborating, and supporting each other on a daily basis.
If you are looking to help make a substantial impact, and our values and products align with your vision of your career growth, we want to hear from you

About Your Role
Tigera is looking for highly skilled and motivated Pre-Sales Solutions Architects who will be key in extending the success of the sales team in the region.
You will be paired with one or more of our Account Executives, and be our customer's primary technical point of contact.
You will serve as a product and industry expert, taking a consultative approach to identifying customer pain points and driving toward technical alignment.
You will always be a trusted point of contact for our customers, but you will also keep a focus on advancing the sales process.
This is a great chance for the right individual to get into a high-growth project that is core to the container revolution currently taking place in the cloud industry.
The role is based in Cork (hybrid, 2 days in the office).
You Will

Lead the technical engagement of key Tigera engagements in the region, with the support of the rest of the Tigera team, and be instrumental in ensuring the success of the customer
Assist potential customers with demos, qualification, architecture, Po Cs, and lab trials with the goal of moving them to a successful deployment of the Tigera solution
Collect and analyze requirements from the field, and assist the CTO and product management teams within Tigera in deriving a set of features or capabilities that would meet those requirements
Engage with leads and cultivate prospective Tigera customers
Become a trusted resource and advocate for your customers within Tigera.
You will be someone who the customer relies on to give the right answer, which is not necessarily the most commercially rewarding answer
Respond to proposals and RFIs/RFPs
Work as part of the sales team toward reaching sales quota
Travel as needed to customer locations, approximately 25%.
Conduct hands-on workshops once a month in your region that help spread the word and educate people on Tigera technologies.
Be part of the team that generates blog posts that are technical in nature.

You Have

3+ years of experience in a pre/post sales organization
7+ years of experience in data center environments, preferably related to networking, security, orchestration, 'cloud' infrastructure, and/or scale-out/big-data environments
Previous experience as a pre-sales engineer, supporting a complex software sales cycle to Dev Ops, Net Ops, Sec Ops.
Experience with security, compliance, and/or Info Sec skills is strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and discuss complex architectures
Ability to write scripts or glue-code to automate installations, integrate components, etc., is a benefit
A deep technical understanding, including hands-on experience, of cloud and container technologies (such as AWS, GCE, Azure, Docker and Kubernetes) and microservices deployment patterns
Experience with Kubernetes is a plus

With offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Vancouver (Canada), Cork (Ireland), and London (England), we have a thriving team of diverse individuals from all over the world.
