Job Description

Technical Architect for Small and Medium Business (SMB) customers in EMEA, working with Salesforce solutions to drive digital transformation and support sales teams in winning new business.

As a Technical Architect, you will work closely with customers to understand their technical and business requirements, and provide actionable recommendations to achieve their goals.

You will be responsible for developing relationships with CIO/CTO/CISO and their teams, guiding them towards long-term success with Salesforce solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with EMEA SMB customers to tackle technical challenges using Salesforce solutions
  • Developing relationships with customers and acting as a trusted advisor
  • Understanding customer needs and establishing Salesforce as the best solution
  • Presenting Salesforce technology infrastructure and capabilities
  • Conducting architecture and technical workshops
  • Handling customer technical due diligence and risk management processes
  • Translating business requirements into solution architectures and roadmaps
  • Participating in product, sales, and procedural training and certification
  • Leading the SMB Technical Architect Community
  • Working closely with various stakeholders to develop and execute internal and external programs

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand business and IT department requirements
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise software applications and their delivery
  • Some coding experience and willingness to work with code
  • Database and data management fundamentals
  • Web and mobile application development and architecture
  • Integration principles and tools
  • Enterprise data management tools and methods
  • Process orchestration
  • Principles of network, application, and information security
  • Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills
  • Strategic thinker, thoughtful leadership, and comfort communicating with executive audiences
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to support multiple, concurrent projects
  • Lifelong learner, inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience working as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant, or developer in a customer-facing role
  • Experience in roles that required working hands-on to build, implement, administer, or maintain enterprise software
  • Understanding of risk mitigation, compliance, and security
  • Experience with design thinking, persona-based discovery, or other innovation techniques
  • Industry experience in a specific field, vertical, or market segment
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Salesforce Certifications and/or Trailhead Superbadges
