Preconstruction Design Manager A leading Main Building Contractor is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Design Manager to join their head office team based in Cavan. This role will focus on the preconstruction phases of multiple large-scale building projects. The company is well-established with a solid reputation, offering an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the planning and design phases of various upcoming developments. Role Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the preconstruction design process, ensuring timely submittals and approvals of designs and materials in alignment with project specifications. Collaborate closely with design teams to proactively identify and resolve any potential design risks or issues before they impact project progress. Develop and maintain look-ahead plans for the design process, aligning with project timelines and key milestones. Liaise with project management teams to ensure coordination between design and construction phases. Ensure compliance with BCAR, and all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. Conduct regular design review meetings and provide detailed reporting on progress. Requirements: Degree in Engineering or Architecture. Minimum 4 years of experience working as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator, preferably with a Main Building Contractor in Ireland or the UK. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, including BCAR Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary in the range of €65k-€75k, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits package.
