**Job Summary** Seeking a technically competent engineering lead to join a newly formed presales team and support the growth of Vertiv's infrastructure solutions. Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, is doubling its manufacturing capacity for switchgear, busway, and integrated modular solutions (IMS) by 2025. This strategic move is in response to the rising demand for data center power infrastructure, particularly for AI and high-performance computing applications. **Job Description** As the lead, you will be responsible for the Infrastructure Solutions engineering team of technical experts (electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural) during the early engagement phases of customer programs to bring together schematic design for Data center (Hyperscale, Enterprise, Colocation, Edge, CLS) and Critical Infrastructure facilities. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead a team of engineers, including architect, structural, HVAC, electrical, developing early-stage design and proposal for the IS projects (modular data centers, power rooms, cable landing stations) • Read and understand RFP and tender documents • Read and understand customer requirements provided by sales team • Understand relevant codes and standards for data centers and electrical power rooms • Coordinate between technical disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC, controls, fire protection) • Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers • Make technical proposals for Vertiv modular solutions data centers • Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions • Technical project coordination within various Vertiv teams • Verification of documents created by team members • Provide sales technical assistance and support information to assist with the sales activity • Occasional customer site visits • Occasional international travel for customer meetings, seminars and training **Requirements** • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering • 7-10 years' experience • Proficient in data center design, knowledge of the data center supporting systems, functionality and architecture • Solution-based thinking that will incorporate a multitude of Mechanical and Electrical components to an end-customer deployment • Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to design and deployment • Customer interaction to transition thoughts and concepts into solutions and delivering that interaction through documented specifications • Leadership skills • Soft Skills: time management, internal and external customer interaction, and self-motivation • PC skills: Active user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), Power Point (A), Auto CAD • Technical/practical skills: good analytical skills, assessment skills, organizational skills • Core competencies: Initiative, Creative, Persuasive, Able to deal with conflict, Problem solving, Detail oriented, Analytical • Active English
