Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operating press brake machines, including adjusting settings and installing tooling.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine correct bending sequences and machine settings.
- Inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet required specifications.
- Performing routine maintenance on press brake equipment and troubleshooting any issues.
- Monitoring the production process to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Working collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- FOLLOWING ALL SAFETY GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES TO MAINTAIN A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience operating press brake machinery; experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) and quality control processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Willingness to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
