UK or Dublin Overview of the role: The Flutter International Division is now part of a wide and complex ecosystem made up of brand acquisitions and part of the wider Flutter Group of divisions.
The division is becoming more technically complex containing 9 brands, multiple operator platforms, strategic Flutter Edge capabilities, and we will undertake multiple player migrations and integrations over the next few years.
The role of the Principal Architect is to work extremely closely with delivery, product, and technology teams to architect solutions, make key decisions and champion long-term value to ensure we deliver on our ambitious strategy.
This may involve working on the development of Flutter Edge products, completing M&A tasks, or participating in groundbreaking strategic programs.
This role is strategic, working with the brands within the International Division, to build and bring to bear the Flutter Edge.
The Edge being what we call the unique ways in which we share technology.You will provide extensive technical, strategic advice and guidance of the highest level to senior managers and technical resources in the creation and implementation of new technology platforms.
Working closely with the Head of Solutions Architecture, this is a vital role in maintaining the integrity of systems, the consistency of applied architectures, and providing strategic direction.
Support execution and delivery of central initiatives, with a focus on architecture discovery and support of delivery plans for innovative programs.
Support technology M&A due diligence and integration activities.Help and advise senior executives to set technology strategy then work with technology teams to turn vision into reality.
Provide oversight for budgets and project plans and manage technology risks and issues.Work in partnership with the Delivery team, technical leads, and developers, making sure that teams are able to realise the architecture, by a combination of mentoring and direct involvement.
Lead and participate in architectural reviews of software, infrastructure, data, and other architectures.Work with product owners, architects, developers, and other tech-resource across the organisation to ensure consistency and alignment of the technology roadmaps across the whole organisation.
Work across the enterprise to ensure marketing technology is fully integrated into Flutter International's proprietary and third-party systems.Participate in product evaluations, RFPs, POCs, and business decisions to ensure fit and scale into the platform and the organization.
Work in conjunction with other groups (i.e.Experience in an architectural leadership role, specifically Internet-based businesses from Betting and Gaming, Retail, Banking, and/or IT Consultancy, ideally within a highly regulated industry.
Cloud architecture and design experience.A strong customer focus and will be delivery driven and have the ability to keep a strategic focus whilst dealing tactically with day-to-day issues.
