Job Description

Our client, a leading global provider of manufacturing solutions, is actively seeking to grow their in-house Engineering team by hiring an experienced Senior Automation Engineer. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and expanding multi-disciplinary team. The position is an individual contributor role, with no direct people management responsibilities. As the Principal Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering automated equipment solutions from the initial concept stage through to full implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and integrate control system software for automated machines, including PLCs, robotics, motion control, HMI, SCADA, and vision systems.Develop, test, commission, and provide ongoing support for machine control software.Assist the Technical Writer in creating validation documentation required for regulated industries (such as URS, FDS, FAT, etc.).Specify control system components.Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary project team throughout the entire project life cycle.Offer technical guidance and support to other members of the controls team.Skills & Experience8-10 year's experience with PLCs and HMIs, preferably with Allen Bradley.Expert knowledge in the design, specification, and development of automated machines.Proven experience with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics, and related technologies.Strong communication skills, with a proactive and energetic approach.A quality-focused mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel occasionally.Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.BY APPLYING FOR THIS ROLE YOU ARE AGREEING TO OUR TERMS OF SERVICE WHICH TOGETHER WITH OUR PRIVACY STATEMENT GOVERN YOUR USE OF MORGAN MCKINLEY SERVICES. #J-18808-Ljbffr
