Our client, a global leader of medical device manufacturing solutions is hiring a Principal Automation Engineer. The successful candidate will be part of a team that designs and builds Automated Equipment for the medical device, pharmaceutical and other highly regulated sectors. You will become part of a growing multi-disciplinary team delivering automated equipment solutions from concept through to full implementation and have responsibility of Machine control system software design, development & commissioning. You will have an Individual contributor role and be an expert in programming of automated machines. This is a great opportunity to work on the design of high-tech engineering applications Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Design and integrate control system software for automated machines including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, VisionDevelop, test, commission & support machine control softwareSupport the Technical Writer in creating validation documentation required for regulated industries (URS, FDS, FAT, etc)Specification of control system componentsDesign of equipment to CE, electrical, machinery safety and clients’ standardsCollaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout an entire project life cycleProvide technical direction & support to other controls team membersRelevant 3rd level degree with a minimum of 10 years experience in this role or a similar position.10yrs+ of PLC & HMI experience essential, preferably with Allen BradleyExpert knowledge of automated machine design, specification & developmentProven experience with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics etcAbility to create technical documentationNeeds to work well in a multifunctional teamExcellent communication skills with a Proactive and energetic approachStrong organizational skills with a quality minded outlook and a problem-solving attitudeAbility to work well in a multifunctional teamDriving License and ability to travel (Infrequent) Note: By applying for this position, you may also be considered by Pale Blue Dot Recruitment for other or future related vacancies.Pale Blue Dot Recruitment - The Resource for the MedTech Workforce #J-18808-Ljbffr
