Our client, leading global manufacturing solutions provider, are actively looking to expand their inhouse Engineering teams and onboard an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to their well-established and growing multi-disciplinary team. This is an individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities. As Principal Automation Engineer you will be delivering automated equipment solutions from concept through to full implementation. Key Responsibilities: Design and integrate control system software for automated machines including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, Vision Develop, test, commission & support machine control software Support our Technical Writer in creating validation documentation required for regulated industries (URS, FDS, FAT, etc) Specification of control system components Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout an entire project life cycle Provide technical direction & support to other controls team members Skills & Experience: 10yrs+ of PLC & HMI experience essential, preferably with Allen Bradley Expert knowledge of automated machine design, specification & development Proven experience with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics etc Excellent communication skills with a proactive and energetic approach A quality minded outlook and a problem-solving attitude Driving Licence and ability to travel (infrequent) Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.
