What is the opportunity?

This senior management position is highly visible, influential and progressive and will provide the opportunity to engage with senior stakeholders across business and IT teams, facilitating discussions, leading negotiations and influencing decisions that drive optimal outcomes for customers and colleagues.

A Principal Business Architect represents a business, its needs and solutions and works with business and technology leaders to achieve their targeted business outcomes. It is a diverse role that will have you working at the centre of delivering the Bank's business and technology transformation.

In this Role, you will

This is a unique, multidimensional role within the Bank and we are looking for candidates with a blend of strategy / consultancy / digital transformation and business architecture skills. Consider applying for this role if you are someone who:

  • Can write and present recommendations and solutions clearly and concisely, demonstrating the ability to focus on the big picture and the key points to executive audiences.
  • Has experience in understanding and decomposing complex problems, ability to analyse and get to the heart of issues and opportunities.
  • Understands existing and emerging technologies, especially digital.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Possess exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including people management, teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Knowledge of a broad range of strategy, design and change & transformation methods.
  • Knowledge of all components of holistic business architecture. Previous experience in Business Architecture is preferred.

Business Architecture is part of the Group Digital and Architecture team.

The team works to progress the digital transformation of the Bank through the identification, and delivery of enterprise capabilities. We have a hybrid remit across business and technology transformation efforts, impacting the functional direction of change initiatives to ensure the business outcomes will be delivered by the technical design as well as leading the resolution of unique and ambiguous business problems that have broad organisational impact.
