About the Role: We're looking for a thought leader to architect new solutions to solve tough challenges, and help us on our mission of helping people live healthier lives. As a Principal Data Analyst, you'll work closely with other leaders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire organization. You will develop a deep understanding of the data and business processes associated with Chart Review, Targeting Analytics and Risk Adjustment. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative analytics and business processes to generate value for Optum and our clients.
  • Lead pilot programs to demonstrate value.
  • Be a hands-on data expert, analyze and provide solutions to complex operations & data problems.
  • Drive short term & long term strategies for targeting analytics, chart review business process and data operations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate or above in an engineering or other quantitative field.
  • Experience in a health care organization, in a progressive, data centric role.
  • Extensive experience in complex data analysis with relational and non-relational (No SQL) databases, mining large datasets, including utilizing Py Spark.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience as an SME in any health care sub domain or analytics.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, ETL, data warehouse design and large scale data processing.
  • Ability to navigate or present a subject at a high level as well as a detail level using data.
