The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally, have proven business analysis experience, and manage multiple competing business projects. Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements, and individuals in Ireland can split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of data and business processes associated with Chart Review, Targeting Analytics, and Risk Adjustment.
  • Research and develop innovative analytics and business processes to generate value for Optum and our clients.
  • Be a hands-on data expert, analyze and provide solutions to complex operations & data problems.
  • Drive short term & long term strategies for targeting analytics, chart review business process, and data operations.
  • Lead reengineering initiatives to modernize legacy analytics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or above in an engineering or other quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex conversations, presenting & driving decisions on complex business or data problems.
  • Experience driving business and data solutions in a complex data environment.
  • Extensive experience in complex data analysis with relational and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, mining large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an SME in any healthcare sub-domain or analytics working with healthcare datasets.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, ETL, data warehouse design, and large-scale data processing.
  • Ability to navigate or present a subject at a high level as well as a detail level using data.
