As an Edge AI platform Software Architect on the Embedded Systems Team, you will architect and implement embedded software SDK’s and tools for our AI platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and vertical market applications, to understand customer requirements and translate those to technical specifications and design effective system-level platforms and solutions. Performance Objectives: First Year You will be a member of a core technology team within Edge AI and will be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting edge technology that will transform the semiconductor industry. During the first year, you will be responsible for the following milestones: Lead the architecture and implementation of ADI’s AI runtimes and platform tools for our suite of embedded devices. You will take ownership of design, implementation, test, documentation, and maintenance of embedded software systems. Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability. Be a thought leader in ADI’s AI Platform runtimes and tooling. Manage and maintain code repositories. Desired Skills and Experience: Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex embedded software projects from concept through commercialization. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and principles of software engineering. Strong C/C++ programming skills. Experience with Linux, FreeRTOS, ROS and/or other embedded OSs. Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with AI models and deep learning systems. Background in solving problems that apply to large complex systems deployed at scale. Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.). Bonus Points for: Background in sophisticated system-level debugging. Experience working on system level reliability and resiliency features. Familiarity with system level security concepts. Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) and algorithm implementation experience.
