Job Description

Seeking a Principal Planning & Environmental Consultant to work on large-scale projects for multinational clients in Ireland and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and management of development consents, compliance and planning strategy for large-scale projects.
  • Participation in design process for layout, master planning and input or coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR).
  • Management of interaction with multi-disciplinary project teams, clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaising with County Councils, An Bord Pleanla and other statutory bodies as required.
  • Engagement with environmental permitting including EPA Licence application process and/or the waste facility licencing process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification Level 8 or Level 9 NEQ qualification in Planning & Sustainable Development or related Environmental Science/Engineering discipline.
  • Chartered planner (IPI, RTPI or equivalent) or working towards chartership.
  • Relevant experience in the area of planning and environmental management/consultancy.
  • Knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislation, policy and practice.
  • Project Management skills with attentiveness to critical dates and adherence to deadlines.
  • Clear and confident verbal & written communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of report preparation (MS Word) and use of MS Excel.
  • Proven track record of working on your own initiative.
