Job Description

FT is looking to recruit a Principal Project Manager - Civil and Environmental Engineering to join our waste management and environmental team in either our Cork, Carlow or Dublin offices. The role will suit candidates with a minimum of 15 years of experience. The successful candidate will join an established company and will have the opportunity to broaden their existing range of skills and experiences. This position offers exposure to a number of project types within the company, including large waste management infrastructure development, public realm, urban development and renewable energy projects. FT offers the successful candidate a clear path for career development to Associate and Director positions.FT's ResponsibilitiesLeading civil and environmental design teams, ensuring projects are delivered to the required timescales, quality and costsSupervising and mentoring senior and junior staffPreparation of technical reports and tender documentsPlanning and managing design work, working closely with Project DirectorsEnsuring compliance with our quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislationCoordinating work with other members of the teamManaging the client relationship and communications for projectsSkills / QualificationsDegree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or related field and Chartered Engineer status15 years post-graduate experience in the design and project managementOral Hearing experience, desirableMulti-disciplinary design management experienceExperience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultantsExperience in creating and managing budgetsHigh-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skillsFlexible and a good team playerWorks efficiently and on own initiativePrepared to travel to site visits and client meetingsFull driving licenceAn attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate including a competitive salary, shorter working Friday, medical benefit and professional body support.
