Principal Engineer in EM and Module Design
Skyworks Solutions is a leading innovator of high-performance analog semiconductors powering the wireless networking revolution.
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our diverse team of RFIC, Analog IC, and Module designers in Cork, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and take ownership of an RF front-end module and continuously improve its performance.
- Translate customer design specifications into subsystem design targets.
- Apply Microwave Engineering and RFIC design fundamentals to steer PA, LNA, filter, and laminate design tapeouts.
- Develop high-accuracy simulation benches using ADS, HFSS, or Cadence programs.
- Design integrated passive devices and RF filters.
- Participate in design review meetings and perform lab testing and tuning.
- Design high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high density component module requirements.
Required Experience and Skills:
- BS degree with 12 years of experience in Microwave Engineering, RFIC Design, Electromagnetics, or related Electrical Engineering fields.
- Practical experience with lab measurements and characterization equipment.
- Experience with EM tools such as HFSS, or Momentum.
- Knowledge of HBT, FET, CMOS devices.
- Knowledge of RF switch design, power amplifier design, and communication standards.
- Exceptional communication skills in writing and speaking.
