Seeking a Principal Engineer in EM and Module Design for a Diversified Analog Solutions business unit in Cork, Ireland.

The ideal candidate will join a diverse team of RFIC, Analog IC, and Module experts to design, integrate, and deliver complex multichip, multi-technology RFIC-based wireless module solutions for 5G, IoT, and Wi-Fi applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve the performance of an RF front-end module.
- Translate customer design specifications into subsystem design targets.
- Apply Microwave Engineering and RFIC design fundamentals to steer PA, LNA, filter, and laminate design tapeouts.
- Develop high-accuracy simulation benches using ADS, HFSS, or Cadence programs.
- Design integrated passive devices and RF filters.
- Lab tuning, data review, and analysis.
- Provide detailed technical reports.
- Design high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high-density component module requirements.
- Participate in design review meetings.
- Perform lab testing and tuning using various RF test equipment.

Requirements:
- BS degree with 12 years of experience in Microwave Engineering, RFIC Design, Electromagnetics, or related Electrical Engineering fields
- Practical experience with lab measurements and characterization equipment
- Experience with EM tools such as HFSS or Momentum
- Lab experience with network analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, and probe station
- Knowledge of HBT, FET, CMOS devices
- Knowledge of RF switch design, power amplifier design, PA classes, PAE, PA performance
- Knowledge of communication standards, such as LTE-A, Wi-Fi, and associated standards
- Understanding of requirements on sensitivity, intermodulation, de-sense, ACLR, EVM
- Ability to independently identify solutions to technical challenges
- Exceptional communication skills in writing and speaking
