As they transition from a centralised group infrastructure function, they are building resilience in their technical environment, enhancing performance, and ensuring stability.They are seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead their team (6 engineers). This is a greenfield opportunity to shape the future of their Cloud Operation landscape.Role Overview:As their Principal SRE, you will be a pivotal player in managing and improving their technical operations. You will:Develop and implement robust monitoring and alerting systems.Enhance the performance and stability of their infrastructure.Lead incident management and response efforts.Create and manage SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.Collaborate with specialised teams in SecOps, FinOps, and NetOps.Report directly to the Head of Cloud Operations.Key Responsibilities:Steer the transition of their infrastructure, improving resilience and reliability.Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting mechanisms.Lead incident management with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Implement continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) best practices.Define and track service level objectives (SLOs), indicators (SLIs), and agreements (SLAs).Provide strong technical leadership and direction.Requirements:Extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering, particularly in complex business and technical environments.Proven track record of managing and improving technical operations.Strong expertise in AWS, their primary cloud environment.Excellent incident management skills.Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.Ability to create and manage SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.Experience working with SecOps, FinOps, NetOps, and other operational teams.Proven scars and t-shirts from leading SRE initiatives.
