The PKI-R team provides Public Key Infrastructure services that are used across all of Microsoft.

As a Software Engineer in PKI-R you will develop certificate creation, management and monitoring systems that are used to secure all Microsoft products from Xbox to Office.

These systems must be developed with the highest levels of security, resiliency, and reliability.

Qualifications


Required:

  • Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Years of handson experience technically strong coding/programming.
  • Experience programming in C, C++, C#, Java, Ruby, Python or other computer programming languages preferred.
  • Strong technical prowess, including understanding of algorithms, systems architecture, and enduser experience.
  • Background on endtoend ownership of complex software systems.
  • Experience of operating and maintaining distributed infrastructure.
  • Experience in modern monitoring/configure management systems, AND/OR cloud infrastructure.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:


  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define and implement innovative solutions that enhance scalability and performance.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring the delivery of highquality code and solutions.
  • Technical architect of largescale security critical systems to be used across all of Microsoft.
  • Mentor teammates and help develop others in the team.
  • Conduct performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization to deliver a seamless user experience.
