Principal Supplier Quality Engineer
Medtronic is seeking a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Supplier Quality Department in Galway, Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and reliability of products supplied to our customers.

- Partner with suppliers to deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
- Provide Pre-Market Quality Engineering support to New Product Development (NPD) teams.
- Qualify and onboard suppliers according to company standards.
- Execute validation activities at supplier sites to ensure high product reliability and confidence.
- Develop and prioritize a supplier auditing schedule to ensure compliance with Medtronic requirements.
- Evaluate suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance.
- Build collaborative relationships with suppliers to drive corrective actions and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
- Provide technical assistance to suppliers and other resources performing qualification/validation testing.
- Collaborate with the operating platform to address issues and gain alignment.
- Represent the Supplier Quality group in operating meetings.
- Support supplier visits or audits as required.
- Support external regulatory and internal audits as required.
Requirements
- Qualified to Level 8 in Science, Engineering, or relevant discipline.
- 7+ years Engineering and/or Quality experience in the medical industry or related field.
- Mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices.
- Experience with Process Validations and/or Test Method Validations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
