Job Description

Process Engineer required to optimize molding processes, tooling, and automation solutions to meet customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics engineering, experience with injection molding, and knowledge of automation systems.

Key responsibilities include leading the introduction of new products, executing projects related to new products and continuous improvement, and optimizing existing processes using statistical techniques.

The Process Engineer will also collaborate with production group leaders to troubleshoot processing issues, build relationships with customers and suppliers, and ensure documentation and processes comply with ISO standards.

Qualifications include a NFQ Level 7 or 8 Diploma in Plastics Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years' experience in injection molding.

Strong knowledge of injection mold tooling, standard and multi-component injection molding, and automation systems is required.

Experience with SPC, DOE, and data analysis using statistical software is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience documenting work accurately.

  • Lead the introduction of new products and maintain standard specifications for production processes.
  • Execute projects related to new products, continuous improvement, lean programs, and line extensions.
  • Optimize existing processes using statistical techniques.
  • Collaborate with Production Group leaders to troubleshoot processing issues.
  • Build relationships with customers, equipment, and raw material suppliers for continuous improvement.
  • Solve customer-related issues with the Quality department and manage CAPA actions.
  • Train employees on new processes and systems.
  • Ensure documentation and processes comply with ISO9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Regularly communicate with suppliers and provide feedback to the management team.
