Job Description

Process Engineer required to improve manufacturing processes and develop optimal molding solutions.

Assist Operations department in implementing new products and standards, and ensure current and future projects meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce new products and compile standard specifications for each process.
  • Execute projects related to new products, continuous improvement, and lean programs.
  • Optimize existing processes using statistical techniques.
  • Work with Production Group leaders to troubleshoot processing problems.
  • Establish relationships with customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Solve customer-related problems and close internal quality and CAPA actions.
  • Train employees on new processes and systems.
  • Develop and review documentation in line with ISO9001 and ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Communicate with external suppliers and provide feedback on issues.
  • Comply with site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • National Diploma Level 7 or Level 8 in Plastics Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years experience in injection moulding industry.
  • Good knowledge of injection mould tooling and design.
  • Knowledge of injection moulding, processing, ancillary equipment, and automation systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical, packaging, or technological industries.
  • Knowledge of Real time monitoring systems.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE).
  • Good data analysis capabilities and familiarity with statistical software.
  • Knowledge of WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles.
  • Computer systems and integrated manufacturing systems experience.
