ref. 01222 Procurement Lead We are hiring a Procurement Lead to join a leading EPCM company on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will lead, manage, and inspire the Equipment Project Procurement Team, ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders through your expertise and integrity. This role involves overseeing the activities of a team of buyers, expeditors, subcontract administrators and other supporting procurement functions. This typically includes, establishing package assignments and priorities, eliminating obstacles, managing the interface with your team and Client management, providing on-the-job training, offering support and guidance, and working aligned with the Department Manager of Equipment Procurement to settle performance related issues. Responsibilities • Coordinate with the Client’s procurement representative and Project Manager and maintain good relationship. • Manages the procurement process, including planning, development of bidder lists, qualifies bidders, prepares requests for quotation, and conducts bid evaluations. • Work closely with the Project Controls Team and support as necessary with resources to ensure that the capital cost reporting elements of the Project requirements are delivered to the highest standard. • Disseminate Operating Procedures for Procurement activities and ensure implementation by Procurement Team. • Provide input, expertise, and support into the Capital estimating of projects. • The procurement of equipment and materials of the required quality at lowest cost consistent with material requisitions, departmental and project requirements and at correct delivery point within deadlines. • Ensure the competence and performance of supervised personnel in accordance with relevant procedures, schedules, and man-hour and cost budgets. Requirements • Recognized degree in a relevant field such as Procurement Management or Business-related qualification. • Membership of IIPMM or equivalent is an advantage. • 10 years+ of experience in Capital Equipment Procurement or a related Project Management field, including at least 10 years in a Procurement Management or Lead Buyer role (experience in both design office and construction site is advantageous), along with a minimum of 10 years as an Engineering Buyer within a relevant industrial sector. • Strong Technical background in an advantage. • Possess a thorough knowledge of the Equipment Supply Chain and capable of building strong relationships with the Vendors we engage with. #J-18808-Ljbffr
