We're excited to expand our team at Elgin Construction Management (ECM) and are currently seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our growing ECM services team.In this role you will assist with the procurement of construction services for Elgin Energy’s project pipeline. You will engage with the supply chain during the procurement process and liaise with the Construction team for EPC services and the Grid team for ICP services. You will co-ordinate with the wider project delivery team to support the development and delivery of Elgin Energy’s project pipeline to energisation by providing assistance throughout the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support and influence the development and growth of the wider project delivery team.What You Will DoEnd to end management of EPC tendering processes: develop the procurement plan and contracting strategy for the projects; develop tender documentation; review and analyse contractor proposals in conjunction with the wider Elgin team; elaborate evaluation and recommendation reports; assist during contract negotiation through FID closing.Support contract implementation during construction in coordination with PMs and the wider ECM team to ensure projects are delivered in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.Support financial modelling optimisation with technical and commercial inputs including capex and opex forecasting.Develop and nurture strategic relationships with contractors and suppliers, including regular commercial updates and technical workshops.Stay abreast of latest technical industry developments and elaborate roadmaps of next generation technologies; provide internal updates to ensure these are factored in at the preliminary design stage.Track commercial trends and provide internal guidance and updates.Produce regular reports on supply chain developments.Undertake site visits where required.Your profileBachelor’s degree in Industrial/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Energy Engineering or related discipline.Ideally 6+ years’ experience working in renewable energy.Track record in the procurement of construction services and/or equipment for renewable projects: utility-scale Solar PV, BESS and grid connection infrastructures preferred.Experience in negotiating infrastructure construction and supply equipment contracts preferred. Experience with FIDIC form of contract would be advantageous.Proficient in communication, resource management and the use of software, particularly Microsoft Office suite.Proactive and self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail.Valid driver's license for UK & Ireland.About UsElgin is a leading international solar & storage company, bringing projects from origination through development to energisation.
