About the Role: Procurement Manager - Direct Spend (Ireland, EMEA-centric)
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our Direct Spend Procurement Team in Ireland.
This role is critical for ensuring efficient procurement operations and adherence to Hanley Energy's Procurement Policy and Strategy across the EMEA region.
As the Procurement Manager, you will oversee sourcing, supplier management, and strategic procurement initiatives, focusing primarily on Switchgear and Control Panel components.
You will drive continuous improvement by integrating S&OP and Lean methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Ireland Direct Spend Procurement Team in implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize team performance.
Execute the Procurement Strategy across all purchasing channels, ensuring supplier management aligns with Hanley Energy's Procurement Policy.
Oversee the ordering of goods and services following established policies and the S&OP process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, developing, and implementing procurement solutions.
Manage compliance for new supplier applications, including contracts and NDAs, and maintain accurate vendor data.
Control spending, promote a culture of long-term savings, and ensure best-in-class value and service excellence.
Report key procurement metrics regularly.
Delegate tasks, supervise procurement team members, and provide guidance on procurement inquiries.
Work closely with S&OP, Supply Chain, and Logistics Managers to maintain inventory levels, prevent stock obsolescence, and manage slow-moving inventory.
Manage and expedite open purchase orders, mitigating any disruptions and resolving procurement, delivery, and contract issues.
Develop and update procurement forms, logs, databases, and other documentation as required.
Manage risk within the supply chain and ensure proactive measures are in place.
Occasional international travel may be required.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven track record of leading procurement teams in manufacturing, energy, or power management industries.
Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
Extensive supplier management experience, fostering strong relationships and ensuring value for the organization.
Multitasking ability with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong decision-making and analytical abilities to drive procurement strategy.

Preferred Skills

Experience in procurement for industrial control panels, controlgear assemblies, or switchgear.
Familiarity with Lean methodologies and their application in procurement.

Qualifications & Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement is preferred.
Strong academic qualifications related to procurement or supply chain management are advantageous.
