Job Description Summary: Responsible for releasing new IC-based products into high-volume production, improving manufacturability, and driving profitability. MACOM designs and manufactures semiconductor products for Data Center, Telecommunication, and Industrial and Defense applications. Headquartered in Lowell, Massachusetts, MACOM has design centers and sales offices throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. MACOM is certified to the ISO9001 international quality standard and ISO14001 environmental management standard. **Job Title:** Release Engineer **About MACOM:** MACOM has more than 65 years of application expertise with multiple design centers, Si, Ga As, and InP fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, and test, and operational facilities throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. **Key Responsibilities:** • Interface with design groups on new product introduction and design for manufacturability • Develop production test plans to verify product performance and perform analysis of data using sound statistical methodology • Continuously improve manufacturing test processes • Support testing in lab for new designs • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering and production targets are achieved • Monitor and investigate yield issues arising at any stage in the manufacturing and testing process • Support reliability team in new product qualification and failure analysis • Ensure all aspects of product manufacturing, including hardware, documentation, BOMs, and costing are in place for the production release of a product **Requirements:** • Advanced degree in a science or engineering discipline • Five or more years of relevant work experience in Semiconductor-based product engineering/development, RF testing, or characterization • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of statistical data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) • Good planning and organizational skills • Good interpersonal and communications skills • In-depth understanding of statistics • Ability and desire to learn new technologies • Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams • Familiar with RF testing and troubleshooting • Proficiency in spoken and written English • Knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential • Willingness to travel occasionally
