Product Engineer responsible for product support from concept to sustain, interfaces with internal teams and customers to address product issues, and drives continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage product support of business unit products from concept to sustain through the New Product Development cycle.
- Interface with design, process, test, reliability, and quality engineering teams to address product issues.
- Work with manufacturing and NPD teams to implement continuous quality improvement changes.
- Analyze customer returns and determine the root cause of failure mechanisms.
- Establish cross-functional teams to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Benchmark competitor products and specifications.
- Assist with qualification reject investigations.
- Generate technical documentation, including statistical analysis reports and lessons learned.
- Maintain product data and documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and encourage professional development.
Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering required, MS a plus.
- Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in new product design, product introduction, and product management.
- Experience with mixed signal semiconductor IC development an advantage.
- Practical experience in product electrical or electronic design/measurement.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team player with leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver timely results in a high-volume production environment.
- Advance skills in statistics and experience with statistical tool analysis an advantage.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate holder an advantage.
