Job Description

Job Summary:

The Product Handling Technician will support our client's operations in Shannon, Ireland where their OLED products are produced and shipped to customers. This person will perform hands-on work alongside a small team of co-workers in a laboratory/clean room setting at our manufacturing facility in Shannon. The job requires the ability to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment. This person also needs to have a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  1. Complete activities associated with the Order Generation and Fulfillment (OGF) process consisting of Receipt, Storage, Selection, Dispensing, Packaging, and Shipment of specialty chemicals.
  2. Fulfill any other customer or internal requests including supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
  3. Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments of materials from the Shannon site. Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and other associated issues as they arise.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory systems for all materials at the operating labs onsite. Transact and deliver materials to operations department at the facility.
  5. Immediately escalate issues that have the potential to negatively impact the customer or the process.
  6. Maintain the highest standard of housekeeping and organization to eliminate error.
  7. Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams within our client's global structure.
  8. Complete other activities as assigned, associated with operations department.
  9. Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum: Leaving Certificate; 3rd level qualification (Certificate/Diploma or Degree) in a technical field preferred.
  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  3. Experience with weighing and dispensing desirable.
  4. Experience within a laboratory or chemical environment, an ISO environment and/or continuous improvement environments are desirable.
  5. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management.
  6. Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, SAP or other ERP systems and familiar with various internet software programs.
  7. Ability to actively participate and contribute to an effective working team, follow instructions, and make recommendations for improvement.
