You will develop and aid in the implementation of the "secure by default" framework. We interact with several different tech stacks at Docusign, so we expect you to research and learn new technologies and programming languages on a regular basis. You will be building strong working relationships across the organization with a focus on raising the security bar with our product development partners.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Product Security team.ResponsibilitiesEnable developers to ship secure code through tools, people, processesDiscover and investigate potential security issues in Docusign productsGuide developers on security standard processes and implementationAid in code reviews, focused on security bug reductionCollaborate with architects, engineers, and other security practitioners to assess core applicationsReview and verify reported vulnerabilities, perform root cause analysis, and partner with developers to drive correctionsForm a strong relationship with developer teams and serve as point of contact and security SME for questions arising around secure developmentIdentify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement that can bring value to multiple teamsCreate thorough documentation related to areas of ownershipIdentify manual processes and implement sustainable automated solutionsJob DesignationHybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBasic2-3 years of related experience in Application securityStrong investigative mindset with attention to detailDemonstrated experience in Application Security code reviewsDemonstrated experience in threat modeling applicationsExperience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) platformsExperience with Kali Linux, Burp Suite or similarDetailed understanding of common vulnerabilities and exploitsDemonstrated development experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, JavaDemonstrated experience in application security within cloud environmentsExperience with product security programs such as security champions, DevSecOps, penetration testingAdvanced knowledge in at least 2-3 security domains such as applied cryptography, application security, cloud security, supply chain security etcPreferredBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related fieldKnowledge of regulations and standards including PCI-DSS, OWASP, and NIST Cybersecurity FrameworksContainer security experienceStrong understanding of the Software Development LifecycleExposure to penetration testing practicesExperience with the implementation and maintenance of industry standard application security tooling related to SAST, DAST, SCAExcellent communication skillsLife at DocusignWorking hereDocusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
