Job Description

Our Client in the Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, is looking for a Production Cell Lead to join their team on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be in charge of driving output through and fulfilling all functions in relation to the production of manufactured products. Key Responsibilities: Manufacture of batches in accordance with their SOPs including filling, capping and sealing where required. Carry out appropriate and fit for purpose preventative maintenance on all equipment and carry out equipment checks/calibration as per schedule Contribution to lean including 6S, kaizen, Kanban and lean. Specific cell waste management to ensure appropriate waste stream storage prior to disposal Liaise with support staff on materials requirements. Ensure all health and safety standards are complied with and taking full responsibility for housekeeping and hygiene within the cell. Troubleshooting production issues and work closely with, communicate with colleagues on QC and planning to ensure demand requirements are met with in the allocated time frame. Suggest and implement improvements to increase capacity and efficiency. Be available for upskilling and cross training where required and contribute to cross functional teams as required. Train and guide production operators and technicians within the area. Undertake training and upskilling to ensure expertise to perform the role of Cell Lead within area of responsibility. Ensure proper utilisation of the team, proper flow of work and all staff are working optimally. Active participation and contribution to the daily PIT Meeting Any other duties as may be assigned by the Production Manager, or any other member of the management team, including to specifically contribute to projects, and to undertake tasks, responsibilities and duties geared towards the successful achievement of the availability to promise (ATP) objective of the department and to honoring this target for the customer. Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years' experience gained in a high quality manufacturing environment. Detailed knowledge and experience of some or all of the following techniques is mandatory: batch chemical manufacturing, Good Laboratory Practice ISO17025 ISO9001:2009 Chemistry Good understanding of batch manufacture. 3rd level science qualification (minimum ordinary level degree) is mandatory.
