Production Manager sought for leading client in Westmeath, overseeing daily food manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team in Westmeath. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily food manufacturing process, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management: Plan and schedule production activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth operations.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement corrective actions to address quality issues.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and support production staff, providing training and development as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance productivity.
  • Track and analyze production data to make informed decisions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and food industry regulations.
