Job Title: Production Manager Location: Dublin, Ireland Department: Manufacturing Reports To: Operations Director Job Purpose To oversee and manage all aspects of the production process within the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards. The Production Manager will lead the production team to achieve the company's production goals and maintain optimal production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Production Management Plan, co-ordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, and within budget. Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization. Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to address issues or changes in demand.Quality Control Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure high-quality production output. Identify and address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions and process improvements.Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the production team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and identify training needs to enhance team performance.Health and Safety Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing necessary measures to mitigate risks. Cost Management Manage production budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Analyse production data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.Inventory and Supply Chain Management Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any supply chain issues that impact production.Process Improvement Continuously evaluate production processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to streamline operations and reduce waste.Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment. Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving operational goals.Technical Skills Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control standards. Proficiency in using production management software and tools. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing production processes and documentation. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing demands and work in a fast-paced environment
