Job Description

Experienced leader sought to oversee work area, drive quality and production goals, and achieve profit objectives in a high-volume electronic manufacturing environment.

Provides management to work area by training and mentoring Team members to achieve daily quality, production, turn time and yield goals while simultaneously achieving profit goals.

  • Monitors quality and production trends in functional areas, reporting this information to Functional Managers and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Supports initiatives by support departments to improve productivity and quality, reducing waste, re-work, inspection, and customer returns/complaints.
  • Monitors all work performed in the area, including new product introduction and support of current product portfolio.
  • Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly data as required.
  • Studies new and current processes to ensure the most efficient and effective flow is in place.
  • Manages employee's adherence to company policies & procedures.
  • Reviews employee attendance records.
  • Monitors and edits employee time system.
  • Monitors qualification of gainsharing / P4 P incentive bonuses.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of global and regional operations and industry
  • Strong proficiency in determining operational requirements to enable company's business goals and objectives
  • Strong financial and analytical ability
  • Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs
  • Strong and convincing communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Power Point) and e-mail skills required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering degree; Degree related to electronic manufacturing preferred
  • At least 5 years experience in at least 2 of the following operations areas: Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Materials – Finance and HR desired, preferably in a high-volume electronic manufacturing environment
  • Or a combination of education, experience and/or training
