Job Description
Production Manager to join the team in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford, responsible for ensuring process targets are met, maximizing factory throughput, and ensuring proper manufacturing SOPs are developed and adhered to. This role will involve ensuring shift supervisors identify process difficulties and opportunities for capital improvements, and working with them to identify and implement solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Production: Ensure process targets are met through KPI's, maximize factory throughput and yield, ensure process parameter targets and specifications are met, and ensure proper manufacturing SOPs are developed and adhered to.
Plant and Equipment: Ensure shift supervisors identify process difficulties and opportunities for capital improvements, and work with them to identify and implement solutions, ensure ongoing operator asset care OAC programmes are deployed, and ensure alignment with best practice in terms of maintenance/production cross functional teams.
Budgets: Assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets, evaluate budget variances and actions to rectify, and ensure production budgets are met annually.
Capital/Maintenance Projects: Lead production integration of capital projects, liaise with suppliers/engineering staff to procure high performance equipment, and ensure operator training and assessment is integral to project delivery from an early stage.
EHS: Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations, seek opportunities to further reduce level of emissions and resource consumption, ensure that all new plant and equipment is designed and installed to ensure safe operation and maintenance, ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, and ensure that appropriate PPE is controlled, available and worn.
Personal Competencies & Qualifications:
5+ years' experience in the management of large numbers of personnel in a FMCG environment, disciplined focus on day-to-day delivery of KPI site metrics, manage and lead a team culture to drive performance improvements, champion continuous improvement across the site, and proficient in Office Tools.
