Job Description
Production Supervisor required for a Cork-based Chemical Producer Company to lead a team of production operators and service personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of production operators and service personnel to ensure the department operates to best practice in a continuous improvement environment.
- Work in conjunction with the Day Production Supervisor on process optimization, troubleshooting, and production-related projects.
- Assist the Production Manager with daily responsibilities, including permit writing, asset effectiveness, and SAP data collection and analysis.
- Train, develop, and manage shift production personnel.
- Supervise shift team(s) and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience working in a technical production environment (e.g. refinery, chemical, process, or machinery manufacturing).
- A level 7 in a Bachelor of Science/Engineering or relevant qualification (chemical production linked or a related technical discipline).
- Supervisory experience desirable, although not mandatory.
- Demonstrated command of the English language, both oral and written.
- EHS specific topics (e.g. occupation safety, process safety, hazard identification, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures).
- Production processes (e.g. machinery).
- Microsoft Office, asset effectiveness, and SAP.
- Team leading skills.
- Ability to understand technical information and documentation.
