A Production Supervisor is required on PERMANENT basis by CareerWise Recruitment for our client; a Cork-based Chemical Producer Company. THE ROLE: Leading a team of Production operators and service personnel to ensure that the department operates to best practice in a continuous improvement environment Work in conjunction with the Day Production Supervisor on process optimization, troubleshooting and production related projects Assist the Production Manager with daily responsibilities Permit writing within the Production department Asset effectiveness and SAP data collection and analysis Training, development and management of shift production personnel Supervise shift team(s) and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures REQUIREMENTS: 5 years experience working in a Technical Production Environment (e.g. Refinery, Chemical, Process or Machinery Manufacturing) A level 7 in a Bachelor of Science/ Engineering or relevant qualification, (Chemical Production linked or a related technical discipline) Supervisory experience desirable, althoughnot mandatory Demonstrated command of the English language, both oral and written EHS specific topics (e.g. occupation safety, process safety, Hazard Identification Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures) Production processes (e.eg Machinery) Microsoft Office, Asset Effectiveness and SAP Team leading skills Ability to understand technical information and documentation Please call Aisling OHagan-Yil today for further information on or email: CareerWise Recruitment (In Search of Excellence) Established in 1999, CareerWise Recruitment specialises in recruitment of management and technical professionals for the life sciences, ICT, engineering, food and agri sectors.
