Production Unit Manager role at Freudenberg Medical involves leading assembly production to meet efficiency, delivery, quality, and cost targets.

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assembly production to meet or exceed company goals of efficiency, delivery on time, quality, and cost targets.
- Ensure adequate resources are available to meet production requirements.
- Reorganize resources as required.
- Ensure all procedures are maintained and followed.
- Update systems and procedures to meet existing and future demands of the assembly.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth running of operations.
- Manage the Assembly/Extrusion department to ensure optimum performance is maintained and staff are motivated.
- Ensure all activities are carried out according to relevant Medical and Industry standards and internal procedures.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date reporting with regard to KPI's related to area of responsibility.
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to OH&S, Environmental, and Energy Management Systems.
- Adhere to Plant Safety requirements and Health & Safety requirements relating to work.
- Be aware of potential environmental impacts associated with work and implications of non-conformance.
Qualifications
- Degree in Production Engineering, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent Design or Engineering qualification.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Medical Devices including manufacture of catheters and stents.
- 2-3 years experience in managing Production in the Medical Device Industry.
- Professional and knowledgeable with ability to develop strong relationships with customers and potential customers.
- Project Management capability and experience would be an additional benefit.
