Lead a team of production professionals to achieve operational excellence, quality, and customer satisfaction in a critical node of the global supply chain.
Job Description:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the production unit, working closely with engineering, quality, and finance teams.
- Leverage lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, and customer indicators, reduce waste, and optimize processes and labor efficiencies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize department performance, employee engagement, and communication.
- Determine staff levels, schedules, and resources, and establish clear accountabilities for direct reports.
- Develop and manage department budgets, and plan and allocate resources to meet customer service targets and inventory levels.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, risk-taking, and employee development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and GMP requirements, and promote quality and customer satisfaction.
- Drive functional excellence initiatives and deliver high-quality functional deliverables.
- Collaborate with EHS to identify environmental impacts and establish goals and targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Engineering field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in operations, with 5+ years in leadership capacity.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Operational excellence and lean thinking, with a systems mindset.
- Change management, organizational awareness, and business acumen.
- Manufacturing line layout and flow competencies, and strategic and critical thinking.
- Supply chain and capacity planning competencies.
