RCSI is seeking a Professor of Oral Surgery and Dental Anatomy to join its academic team in the School of Dentistry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Oral Surgery and a proven track record in teaching and research.
About the Role
- Provide leadership and guidance in Oral Surgery and Dental Anatomy
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the BDS programme
- Teach and examine undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Conduct research in Oral Surgery and Dental Anatomy
- Represent the School and RCSI on external committees and bodies

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver teaching materials and clinical teaching
- Contribute to the implementation and setting up of Dental Education Facilities
- Provide guidance and leadership in the delivery of an assessment framework
- Integrate innovative teaching methods and technology into the curriculum
- Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
- Senior academic position with a strong track record in academic leadership
- Extensive experience in the practice of Oral Surgery
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching and examining Oral Surgery
- Registration as a Specialist in Oral Surgery with the Dental Council in Ireland
- Appropriate Surgical Fellowship with RCSI or one of the affiliated surgical colleges
