Job Description

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is a postgraduate medical training college dedicated to ensuring doctors have the skills to provide patients with the best possible care. Founded in 1654, the college supports doctors to enhance their skills, competencies, and professionalism. Through its Faculties and Institutes, RCPI offers medical training programmes, examinations, diplomas, and educational courses to equip doctors with the skills and knowledge they need to care for patients and run safe and efficient healthcare systems. It also offers educational diplomas and courses for learners in the wider healthcare sector. We are seeking a Programme Coordinator to manage and deliver Education Programmes, which encompass courses and educational events for physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role involves developing, maintaining, and managing blended learning education programmes, using technology platforms, and ensuring programme activities and course materials meet relevant policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with RCPI departments and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include contributing to programme development, effectively using online systems, setting up courses, and advertising them through the RCPI website and other communications media. You will also ensure all programme activities and course materials meet relevant organisation and statutory policies and procedures. Additionally, you will monitor participant admissions, registration & cancellation processes, prepare course materials, liaise with key stakeholders, provide administration support, and evaluate, review and revise courses and programmes. The ideal candidate will have a degree level education, English fluency, 2-3 years of experience in a comparable role, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, strong collaboration and communication skills, and proven ability to work well with a team. Experience in a medical administration environment and collaborating with clinical specialists is desirable. We offer a range of benefits and services, including leave, wellbeing, flexible hybrid working model, pension, flexible benefit, life assurance, learning & development, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
