Our work positively impacts the lives of over 10,000 people with disabilities, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and self-belief to achieve their expressed goals Job Title: Programme Development Officer 12 months Fixed Term Contract, 18 hours per week Location: Cavan and Monaghan Job Purpose : The role involves the provision of advice, support and guidance to the Integrated Service Manager, Educational Psychologist and Rehabilitative Psychologistto develop curriculum and resources at QQI level 1 or equivalent and ensure the programmes are being delivered to an appropriate will consult and co-operate with relevant external agencies including QQI, ETB, HSE and other certifying bodies, employers etc and the internal quality and governance department. Work in partnership with the integrated service manager and psychologists to develop a further educational curriculum and associated resources at pre entry to /QQI Level 1(or equivalent) for clients with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties. The role will involve consulting and cooperating with internal and external agencies such as ETB, HSE, certifying bodies, parents and quality and governance department. Minimum Education & Experience required: Relevant degree in Training and Education Relevant experience in the area of QQI, HSE funded programmes and the certification process Experience of working of clients with severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Disability. (or with a wide range of disabilities) Experience in designing, implementing, delivering and evaluating school curriculum and/or training programmes. Experience in Audit or Assessing Learner Evidence. Skills and Knowledge High degree of efficiency and attention to detail Excellent organisational, analytical, anticipatory and written/verbal communications skill Able to work successfully in a team environment in person and with remote colleagues, building effective working relationships Knowledge of trends and developments in learning from the external market Able to conduct training and learning needs analysis at individual, team and functional levels Skilled in the use of appropriate communicational aids for students with disabilities Knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design and supporting technologies Good knowledge of special education topics, methodologies, instructional design and supporting technologies Knowledge of learning and training delivery channels, pros and cons of each (Knowledge of Universal Design) IT-literate Job Duties & Responsibilities To work in collaboration with Integrated Service Managers, Educational Psychologist and Rehabilitative Psychologist and the Quality and Governance Directorate to develop curriculum and resources (for clients with severe and profound mu ltiple learning difficulties). to ensure the training programmes are appropriate and relevant within a local and national context and to the standards required. Give advice and guidance on curriculum implementation, teaching/learning strategies, specialist teaching equipment and materials, and on the evaluation/ assessment of students' progress. To monitor andevaluate training programmes in consultation with the Integrated Service Manager to ensure compliance with internal quality assurance and to external stakeholder requirements.
