Drumlin House Training Centre, Cootehill, Co Cavan delivers quality, person focused, day services to adults with intellectual disabilities aligned with the HSE Person Centred Planning Framework.
Programmes may include independent living, personal development and occupational and leisure activities in line with the HSE New Directions Interim Standards for Day Services.
Weare currently recruiting for the following role: - Programme Leader Minimum Education & Skills required A Third level qualification in health and social care, or RNID or equivalent (Minimum Level7 Major Award) Experience of working with adults with Autism Experience of delivering personal care and support programmes Experience in developing and delivering person centered programmes to meet the needs of service users Well-developed people management skills, with proven experience of building, leading and motivating a team.
Excellent report writing skills and IT skills essential Full driving license is essential Principal Duties and Responsibilities Develop and deliver person centred programmes as identified through Person Centred Planning, in accordance with New Directions Standards for Day Services Provide individual and group activities to meet the needs, choices and abilities of service-users and to personally engage in such activities Arrange formal instruction sessions for service users, devise and provide the necessary resources to enhance the learning process.
Work with other staff to ensure the programmes and activities are complimentary to each other and meet the aims of the New Directions standard for day services.
Develop and implement Personal Support Plans to incorporate positive behavioural support, personal care, safety support and risk assessments in conjunction with Centre management and multidisciplinary professionals Advocate on behalf of and support self-advocacy for service users in a number of settings, including, with family, HSE, community groups etc.
Support the staff team in their daily duties and responsibilities and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures Assist Management in the development, implementation and delivery of quality person centred, cost effective services to support the individual.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users in the Centre and comply with all Safeguarding & Protection policy & procedures Ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are implemented, including fire prevention regulations and procedures.
Attend staff meetings and contribute constructively to the smooth running of the Service Participate in individual or team-based development, education, training and learning.
