Aviva are currently hiring for a Programme Manager, sitting within the Transformation area, reporting to the Head of Transformation, and delivering one of the key strategic change programmes from initiation to close-down stage.The programme you will be delivering involves significant spend and is a multi-year, multi-functional programme with multiple workstreams. The successful delivery of this programme is critical to the delivery of the Aviva Life & Pensions strategy. To be considered for this position you musthave extensive experience managing large-scale transformation programmes in the Life & Pensions industry and a track record of delivering programmes that involved the successful implementation of a new platform. You must have valid Irish/EU work rights to be considered for this position be able to commit to working 3 days per week in the office Cherrywood Duties & Responsibilities: This role will cover all aspects of the programme, managing a breadth of senior stakeholders and internal teams, and working with vendors and other third parties on whom the programme is dependent. Your specific accountabilities will include: Agreement of programme scope and objectives and facilitate preparation of business case involving all relevant internal stakeholders. Set-up the appropriate programme governance and ensure adherence to the Aviva Change Framework. Develop a roadmap for implementation, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and report on progress to ensure the programme is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Oversee the selection and implementation of new technology platforms. Build a high-performing programme team, providing training and development as needed. Ensure resource availability and monitor the supply of programme resources. Monitor the forecasting of programme costs, feeding into the business case and regular reports. Report on actual costs & explaining variances. Risks, Issues, & Dependencies: Maintain and monitor programme risks, dependencies, and issues. Develop metrics and KPIs to monitor the progress of the transformation programme. Manage regular programme meetings including the development of inputs and outputs and regularly report on progressto senior leadership and other key stakeholders. Manage changes to the programme scope, programme schedule, and programme costs in line with required governance. Drive and facilitate the considered close-down of the programme. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties. Create and maintain comprehensive programme documentation. Use and continually develop leadership skills and attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency. Skills & Experiences: Excellent communication & interpersonal skills (verbal and power-point) to articulate the vision, progress, and benefits of the transformation to all stakeholders, up to Board level. Strong problem-solving skills to proactively address challenges and mitigate risks, ensuring the programme remains on track. Delivering business benefits, and ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing, enabling the delivery of programmes within the program to budget, quality, and time standards A strong decision-making and prioritisation skillset, with ability to operate effectively under pressure in dealing with multiple senior stakeholders. Strong and effective influencing skills to challenge and drive the necessary changes at a strategic level with a willingness to try new ways of working and solutions (fail fast). Leadership and Strategy: Experience in building and leading high-performing teams focused on complex delivery. Cross-functional stakeholder management experience. Skilled in managing relationships with third-party vendors and outsourcing partners to optimize processes and reduce costs. Demonstrate personal ownership/responsibility for work with thorough follow through to conclusion. Ability to learn and up-skill quickly to understand the targeted outcomes and work carried out to date on the programme. Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Relevant project management qualifications and experience of applying change methodologies. A Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II / Agile certification is a requirement. Experience with project management software tools e.g., Planview or equivalent. You should also have experience mentoring and developing Project and a relentless appetite for successful change delivery and benefits realisation. What will you get for this role?
