Job Summary: Programme Facilitator role at a leading disability support organisation in Bantry, County Cork, promoting independent living and community integration through personal development and social skills.

We are an independent voluntary organisation providing services and support for people with disabilities and their families for over 70 years. Our work positively impacts the lives of over 10,000 people with disabilities, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and self-belief to achieve their goals.

The Programme Facilitator will work with clients in their local community and day service to promote independent living and community integration through personal development, valued social roles, and independent living skills. The role involves developing and delivering person-centred programmes to meet the needs of service users, maintaining required records, and supporting individuals and groups in accessing their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver person-centred programmes to meet the needs of service users
  • Maintain required records and support individuals and groups in accessing their community
  • Facilitate activities and programmes to meet identified needs
  • Support individuals and groups in accessing their community to meet identified needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of New Directions and community-based programmes
  • Knowledge and understanding of intellectual disabilities and mental health issues
  • 1 year minimum experience of working in a relevant setting
