Our work positively impacts the lives of over 10,000 people with disabilities, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and self-belief to achieve their expressed goals Programme Supervisor Casla Resource Centre, Costello, Co Galway Fixed Term Contract 12 months, 19.5hours Job Purpose The purpose of the job is to promote and support independent living and community integration personal development and work opportunities for service users. The role will be based in a large Resource Centre. To supervise staff and to assist the Manager in the development, implementation and delivery of quality customer focused and cost effective community services to service users at an appropriate time and setting. This includes the provision of individual programmes and activities to meet the needs, choices and abilities of service users in line with the HSE New Directions policy and guidelines. The role may require travel across locations in Galway city and county. Minimum Education & Skills required A Third level graduate, health and social care equivalent Experience of the design and delivery of individual programmes for people with disabilities or those who are marginalized Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, logistical and management skills. Ability to sign off and review reports as appropriate. Fluency in The Irish Language is highly desirable Job Duties & Responsibilities To liaise with the Manger regarding the referral and/or transition of clients between the different elements of Oasis service as appropriate. To ensure the delivery standards of practice and participate in quality assurance and clinical audit as appropriate and as directed by Oasis Management. Be responsible for developing, planning, implementing and reviewing individualised support/ intervention programmes for clients according to service standards. Ensuring best practice in line with up to date research regarding person-centred support/ intervention in line with New Directions. Increasing awareness, education and understanding of Asperger Syndrome / ASD Non-ID among professionals and the wider community. Additional requirements Be flexible regarding working hours and travel in order to meet the operational needs of the service and organization Attend training as deemed appropriate by the management of the service as and when required and to participate in continuing professional development including in-service training. Be action orientated; enjoying working hard and seeking challenges with an ability to act and react as required, even in circumstances of limited/incomplete information. Full, driving licence is preferable.
