Job Description

PM Group is a leading International engineering, architecture, project and construction management firm. With a network of offices in Europe, Asia and the US and a multi-discipline team of 3,700+ people, we deliver complex, capital projects in the life sciences, food and beverages, mission critical/ICT, advanced manufacturing, energy and environmental sectors.At present, we are looking for a Project Design Co-ordinator with a CSA background to join our Projects Department to focus on design delivery, coordination and engineering execution.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with multi-discipline Engineering / Design, Project Management and Construction Management teams.ResponsibilitiesIf you were to join the team, you will be involved in the following activities:* Manage design reviews and co-ordination meetings; ensuring a fully coordinated Design strategy is in place and work closely with discipline lead designers to deliver.* Ensure that fully coordinated design is produced that integrates with the agreed Project Execution Plan and that the design is regularly monitored for progress and updated as required.* Manage change control (in conjunction with internal team)* Liaise with other disciplines to ensure alignment and coordination across disciplines* Lead the Design team to insure that the overall project requirements are satisfied.* Ability to give support across all disciplines to bring both design and construction requirements through to projects* Delivery of capital projects safely, on budget and to schedule* Utilise appropriate systems and provide leadership to the Design and Demonstrate a positive attitude to safety and to ensure the “Design” team is active in this regard.* Propose options and effectively communicate to Management/Client/Stakeholders* Communicate project issues to the team and follow-up with the right skill sets to put best solutions in place on time and within budget* Ensure adherence to the client’s quality and engineering standards* Monitor compliance to applicable practices policies and specifications* Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance)* Document Management functions on the project, in accordance with established PM Group procedures and protocols.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:** A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Project Management / Engineering of capital projects ideally from design through to construction and commissioning in the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical sector.* An excellent record in Health & Safety.* A third level degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or Architecture* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential along with a good understanding / experience of project controls & governance through the full project lifecycle.* A qualification in Project Management (ideally)Why PM Group?As an employee-owned company, we are inclusive, committed and driven.
